A gift of one pregnant goat improves lives sustainably by enabling families to supplement their income. This gift provides the family with free milk, wool, and fertilizer for crops, and gives them the opportunity to raise a herd of goats, securing their economic future.

Our mission during this blessed month of Dhul Hijjah is to provide families with livestock gifts! At just $190/Goat, you can help communities in desperate villages create a source of income for themselves. During this season of blessed days, join us on the fight against poverty that goes beyond providing a meal for those that are struggling.​

Why Goats? 

Goats are a key to ending poverty. Since goats require less space and feed than cattle, they can be owned even by the landless. Goats demonstrate significant return on investment by providing milk, meat, manure, cash, savings, and status. Families living in poverty are more likely to own goats rather than cattle. Therefore, support for goat-keeping can be a valuable entry point into the sort of income generation that chips away at poverty.

How Kalsoom Bibi's life changed through a gift of a pregnant goat:

Kalsoom Bibi is a recipient of the livestock gifts program in Pakistan. Within 15 days of the distribution, the goats birthed an offspring. When asked what impact these goats have on the livelihood of their families, they responded: “Our children are able to drink milk twice a day and will stay healthy. It is a sigh of relief for our family to know that we can start over a new life now.”
