Every year, MIST Philadelphia organizes an academic tournament hosting over 300 high school student competitors, in addition to coaches and volunteers. Our 2024 in-person tournament last year hosted over 300 competitors, 50 schools, 70 organizers and volunteers, and 70 judges/speakers! 

About MIST Philly

MIST Philadelphia organizes an annual tournament every year from the inner city of Philadelphia, as well as the surrounding suburbs and parts of Delaware. MIST is open to all competitors regardless of their background, race, or religion. Our organization aims to bring students together from around the region and instill important life skills such as leadership, communication, and creativity. We offer competitions spanning the arts, humanities, and sciences, as well as interactive workshops with the goal of developing students’ leadership, creativity, and understanding of Islam and Muslims.

How YOU Can Help!

In order to run our tournament and continue to expand our reach each year, we do incur costs to secure a venue, invite speakers, educate young individuals, etc. This year’s tournament will be held in late February, inshAllah. We encourage you to make a donation in whatever capacity you can to support our organization.  The donation will allow us to expand our facilities to reach a broader audience and further spread our values.
